Abstract

The national flute schools have played an important role in the generalization of techniques and in the creation of methods that have proved to be timeless and of proven solvency. The objective is to know the influence and influences that different schools can have on students and to determine if really today different doctrines can be limited, as a result of a specific moment and in circumstances of expansion of the instrument. This article focuses on data obtained about the influence that these flute schools exert on the superior flute faculty. If you notice that all teachers vary methods of authors from different schools, 14% say they follow one, compared to 86% who do not choose. Thus, the influence of flutist schools in the teaching practice of higher teachers in Spain must be relativized, since instrumental teaching action entails a high specificity. The conclusions suggest that the influence of flutist schools in the teaching practice of higher teachers in Spain should be relativized since instrumental teaching action entails high specificity.

Ana María Botella Nicolás, University of Valencia

Associate Professor of the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic, and Body Expression of the Faculty of Teaching of the University of Valencia. Doctor in pedagogy from the University of Valencia. Graduated in Geography and History, specialized in Musicology, and a teacher in Music Education, from the University of Oviedo. Professional degree in the specialty of the piano. She has more than one hundred communications in conferences and congresses and publishes regularly on music didactics. Her main lines of research are the didactics of hearing, ICTs and innovation in teacher training, and the creation of audiovisual resources for the work of musical listening.

Guillem Escorihuela Carbonell, Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community

Doctor in Music Didactics from the University of Valencia. He obtained a Higher Degree in Music at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Valencia. He is a professor and subject coordinator of the Department of Chamber Music and Orchestra of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Castellón. He is secretary of the Academic Commission for the Master's Degree in artistic teaching of musical performance and applied research, and is part of the Commission for the evaluation of the research of the Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community. He is a professor in the Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education and the Master's Degree in Musical Performance and Research (VIU), and in the Degree in Teacher Training in Early Childhood Education at Florida Universitària.
