The Asian economic development seen through its defense industry
Main Article Content
Abstract
A country develops when, aware of an imminent threat, it resolves to heavily invest in its defence industry, whose firms cannot be clearly separated from the rest of the industries in that country. This paper contends that the recent development and remarkable dynamism of Asia is very much related to the fact that abundant bank credit is directed to the region in order to finance defence-related projects.
