Abstract

The Loire is the longest in France. As are located north or south of the Loire, people, customs, cuisine, dialects are different. The bridges over this river used to join some other areas, but also a symbol of national unity Gallo. The oldest is that of Beaugency, between Orleans and Blois, built in 1130, and most recently the European land bridge, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
