Spanish municipalities

Abstract
A municipality is, the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Language Academy, is the whole people of the same term governed by a municipal court. From the time of the Romans can speak of something like the municipalities, as we understand it today. In 2001 in Spain there were more than 8000 municipalities. Its importance in elections, whether national, regional or local, is vital.
