The strabismic eye: images of drug use

Abstract

The consumption of certain drugs has been configured as a new social phenomenon, not for its novelty in the strict sense drug use has been provided, although with different applications, but because only recently manifested as a problem for progressive social conscience alarmed. The vision is the most widely used dual facing life and death associated with drug use. other studies have already shown, concern about the lack of-health-is not an issue that young people take ownership. Issues like these are included in a poster contest for students teenagers under the motto "Alternatives to consumption. You propose". This article analyzes the material recovered in the competition. The research subject is, therefore, a group defined in a specific context and production of messages. The call to the Competition participants demanded a small text (no more than three pages) designed to expose "the gestation of the idea and image of the poster, as well as proposals that would suggest the reasons for the contest." This has allowed to have two types of media: images and texts, which require specific analytical approaches but whose results are to enrich, complementary, interpretative reading your messages.
